Wolves and other animals are killed in barbaric ways.  Tactics used are “Denning” (poisoning wolf pups in their dens), aerial gunning (chasing and harassing wolves from airplanes until they become exhausted, then shot), cyanide gas shot in their mouths, sport hunting with golden eagles, and spring loaded traps that break bones.  In addition, wolves have historically been beaten, limbs pulled apart by horses, set on fire, mouths sewn together so they couldn’t eat, jaw removed, and ripped apart by hunting dogs.  Please read the link and spread the word, educate youth, write your representatives, and contribute what you can for agencies that fight in court to stop this madness.

Please read the article provided below regarding reasons why predation can occur.  PREVENTION  is the key!  I’ve included the first paragraph for a preview:

“We continuously hear the livestock industry talking about “problem” wolves—those animals that attack untended livestock. Yet the real issue is “problem ranchers” who externalize one of the costs of doing business—namely operating a livestock operation in a manner that reduces or eliminates predator opportunity.”

Idaho’s Fish and Game Department wishes to further reduce the number of wolves to allegedly increase numbers of big game animals for their hunters.  Negative impacts on elk are primarily caused by hunters, disease, and weather….not wolves.  People are once again using the wolf as a scapegoat.  Their real agenda is to have as many big game animals to hunt for fun, including wolves.
